Here’s how to perform the poses and a few safety tips to keep in mind as you get started. Online Yoga Classes- Take a Yoga Class from home All classes are streamed on the platform Zoom. These poses are some of the best ways to experience Yin yoga. If you have questions about any of these practices or suggestions for additional instructional videos, feel free to contact us. Yin yoga is a slow-paced, relaxing practice. One of the functions of that mucus is to trap potentially harmful bacteria, viruses, and fungi before they make their way deeper into the respiratory system, so keeping this nasal filter clean is a way to keep these invaders at bay. Good to know!Īnother useful and relevant Yogic practice is to keep your nose clean with Jala Neti (nasal irrigation) which helps to clear mucus from the nasal passages. A Sivananda yoga class is a 90-minute session consisting of a comprehensive series of pranayamas and asanas that are always performed in a particular sequence. In fact, one of the great things about Hatha Yoga is that the benefits come without straining, so remember: Less is more! Sivananda yoga emphasizes spirituality and positive thinking that’s why this yoga is worth for stress relief, self-empowerment, and meditation. That said, a most important instruction, whether you are a beginner or more experienced, is to never strain when you’re practicing. These recordings were made specifically for students who are already familiar with the Classical Hatha Yoga sequence that is taught at Sivananda centers and ashrams around the world, so there is not much instruction for beginners or first-timers.
